Drive

Our family is on the road quite a bit during the week.  This is something that we have decided to make the best of!  One way we do this is by using a homemade "family car kit." Even if you are not on the road as much as we are, this may make your life a little easier too:)

One fabric cube in reach of the driver (front seat or floor board) including:
1. Hand sanitizer
2. Baby wipes (even for older children and adults)
3. Tissue
4. Healthy Snacks (to be reloaded each weekend)
5. 5-6 child's books or activities that are car-friendly (and quiet if you have a long drive)
6. 1 unopened bottle of water for emergencies
7. Scripture

We really have to think about safety, being on the interstate for more than half of the way home.  We are planning to get a touch light for the console or backseat, so that Olivia can read without needing the overhead light on.  I am loaded with her favorite cd's and plan to incorporate Scripture in songs as soon as I can!  Just think about your family's needs while you are driving, and plan accordingly.  Make sure you keep everything within a safe arm's reach while on the road.  Reaching for a tissue is not worth the accident...  We find it is much safer and less time consuming to keep this tote in the car at all times.  I hope this helps you!

Happy Music Friday!
